I was born and raised in Bronte, a little town on the Eastern side of Sicily, located at the foot of Mt. Aetna, the second largest active volcano in Europe. I experienced the happiest moments of my life here, close to family, friends, ancient traditions and natural beauty. This is where I truly feel at home.

At 23, I decided to head to the USA for university studies but Bronte never left my blood. I now divide my time between the New World and the Old World so that I can both pursue my academic goals while still enjoying my spectacular little village.

Here in Bronte, my family owns what is called a pistachieto, or a large pistachio orchard, which allows us to grow and process our own pistachios. I would often bring gifts of our pistachios and various pistachio products to my American friends and the response I received was overwhelming. Both the taste of these precious nuts and the large variety of products which can be made from them always amazed everyone. I decided I wanted to share Bronte’s pistachios with the world. And so Gemmellaro’s Italian Pistachio Products was born.

The products you will find on this site are precisely what you would find if you took a trip to Bronte itself, which, by the way, I recommend to everyone. The distinct flavor of our pistachios, pastries, wines and spreads is like nothing else that has ever crossed your lips. Once you try one of our products, you won’t be able to stay away.
